We met Frankie a few years back and tuned his ecoboom fiesta , he got rid of that and purchased this Renault Megane RS , in 2023 this came down to us for tuning but arrived with a nasty misfire , we refused to tune it based on what we could see in the data logs and on his way home it went bang leaving a hole in the block , this shows the importance of data logging at WOT which on these cars would be well over 100mph on the road and this data logging told us all we needed to know to refuse tuning .

Fast forward to today and he was back for a tuning session , although the vehicle was producing some decent numbers we explained that there was more in the tank to be had so it was off with the Superchips software and retuned in house , the peak gains in BHP were only 9bhp , torque saw us gain 64nm but this is where the numbers don’t really tell the full story . 

The delta gains from 2700rpm up to the deadline saw gains of 30+ BHP which on the road equates to a car that is night and day different , it’s not always about numbers but more about drivability and this is a classic case .
