2016 BMW 440i - Stage 1 ECU & TCU

Mods - MPPSK - TU2 Pump Upgrade

Stock - 360bhp / 500nm

Custom Tuned - 431bhp / 656nm

Johns B58 powered 440i was due in for a straight forward stage 1 ECU only with dyno but it was soon very apparent that we were fighting a weak component and were seeing throttle closure at 1800rpm and 5000 rpm , now we could have simply backed off the tune a small amount but who wants to do that - certainly not the owner

He also requested the factory burbles be untouched so these maps were not changed .

His instructions were - it needs to be right - now having done absolutely loads of B58s we knew where to look and the issue was the fuel pump it just couldn’t keep up  ( pump log pictured ) , a quick email the Shak at _performancem and we had a TU pump on its way down to us .

With this installed along with some new rear brakes we tuned both the ECU and TCU and saw outstanding results coming in at 431bhp / 656nm
